Alexa Broida
Alexa Broida is the Director of URJ Mitzvah Corps, where she’s been connecting teens with opportunities to travel and understand the complexities of the world, and the ways in which Judaism empowers them to be agents of change, since 2010. After graduating from UCLA with degrees in Public Health and Developmental Psychology, she spent time living in Israel, working with Mesila with non-Jewish refugees in south Tel Aviv. Upon her return, Alexa obtained a Master's in Business and Organizational Science from GWU. Currently living in Philadelphia, she is part of the Union for Reform Judaism delegation on the Jewish Social Justice Roundtable, as well as sits on the board of the New Leaders Council of Philadelphia, is actively involved with numerous social justice organizations and campaigns around racial justice, criminal justice reform, immigrant and refugee rights, and advocacy for people with disabilities. She’s passionate about discovering people and places around the world.
