Daniel Shore spent 9 summers on staff at the URJ camp Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute (OSRUI), including 4 summers as a Rosh Eidah (Unit Head). In 2013, he received his Master's degree from the Industrial-Organizational Psychology program at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA and is currently working toward his Ph.D. in the same program. At the intersection of summer camp and academics, Daniel conducted his thesis research on a counselor recognition program at OSRUI. His current research covers the areas of employee engagement and commitment, employee reward and recognition programs, and team dynamics. Through George Mason University, Daniel has also worked as a consultant with non-profit organizations on assessing staff members' job attitudes and perceptions of the workplace. The overarching goal of his work is to improve the staff experience in order to help organizations run more effectively.
