Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs): The Truth About Trauma and its Impact on Our Campers

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Research shows that out of the approximately 5.3 million Jewish adults living in the United States, nearly 662,500 have experienced some form of childhood maltreatment that will have life-long consequences. As camp professionals, we have the unique opportunity to recognize and respond to children and families dealing with maltreatment (i.e. emotional neglect, exposure to violence, etc.). This session will help you build a supportive camper care program for children who have experienced trauma or maltreatment and assist in guiding staff as they respond to and engage with campers.
