Data from FJC’s Staff Satisfaction Insights (SSI) survey illuminates the variety of approaches that can lead to a positive staff experience. Staff outcomes from such experiences include a strong sense of commitment to camp, cohesive staff cultures, effective leadership development, a hearty embrace of Jewish values and sense of Jewish identity, as well as staff retention. In this session, we will discuss lessons learned from the SSI survey, and four camps will each share their overall approach to staff engagement along with the specific strategies they use to support their staff. Featuring Becky Altman from Beber Camp, Ben Panet from Camp Sabra, Katie Quinn from Camp Tawonga, and Shoshi Rothschild from Camp Kinneret, this conversation will be moderated by researcher Daniel Shore.
