Jill Goldstein Smith

Foundation for Jewish Camp
Senior Program Manager
New York, NY
Jill is a Senior Program Manager at Foundation for Jewish Camp working on leadership development, innovative Jewish education, mental health, and social-emotional learning initiatives. Her love of Jewish summer camp started in 1997 at URJ Camp Coleman as a camper, and she continued as a counselor, educator and visiting faculty. (She was a Coleman Cornerstone Fellow in 2006!) She has also spent time at URJ Kutz Camp and working with youth groups at several synagogues in New York. Originally from south Florida, Jill moved to NYC to study broadcast journalism and Jewish History at New York University. After graduating, she spent seven years working at a local television news station as an audio and robotic camera operator, technical director and operations supervisor.

Jill is also studying Jewish Educational Leadership at Jewish Theological Seminary's Davidson School, serves on the board of Advancing Jewish Professionals in NYC, and is a proud part of the Honeymoon Israel alumni community. Jill enjoys chocolate, documentaries, running, the High Line Park, and living Queens with her partner, Dan, and daughter, Hannah Zehava. She is currently trying to perfect her challah baking skills. Other passions include: social action and service learning, values-based television and film, relationship building, storytelling, finding connections or segues between seemingly random topics or things, and travel.
