Rabbi Miriam Cotzin Burg currently serves as the Director of Jewish Life for Capital Camps and Retreat Center. Among her proudest accomplishments thus far are the creation and publication of a new prayer book for camp and the launching of the Capital Camps Institute for Leadership and Learning. Previously, Miriam has worked a variety of Jewish educational settings including: PJ Library, Chicago Jewish Day School, Melton Adult Education, The Jewish Council on Urban Affairs and Stephen S. Wise Temple Elementary School. Miriam was ordained from Hebrew Union CollegE in 2002, after receiving her Masters of Jewish Education and her Masters of Hebrew Letters there. She is an alumnus of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship Program. Miriam grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and was a camper at Tamarack Camps, OSRUI, and Kutz Camp. She lives in Baltimore with her husband, Rabbi Daniel Burg, and their children, Eliyah and Shamir.
