Ronni began her career in Jewish communal service while still a student at the University of Rhode Island. Teaching in day and supplemental schools, programming in agencies for the elderly, working as an educational director, Ronni credits her own camping experience as the most influential marker in her career choices. Ronni is excited to have recently become the Director of Camp Avoda after nearly 20 years as the director of her alma mater, Camp JORI. Shei is a graduate of the third cohort of ELI (Executive Leadership Institute), Chazon, The Goodman Camping Institute and recently complete the third cohort of Lekhu Lakhem. Ronni also works as a mentor in The Foundation for Jewish Camp’s Incubator program. Ronni is the parent of Ilana & Gabriel, Sari & Leo (who met at Camp JORI), Aaron, and Deena, and the grandmother of 1 year old Noa.
