Associate Camp Director; Director of Year Round Programs
Allison serves as the Shalom Institute’s Director of Year Round Programs and the Associate Director of Camp JCA Shalom, after joining their year round team in 2007 as the Assistant Director. In addition to her summer camp role, she oversees and manages the Shalom Institute’s robust year round programming, which includes family camps, religious school Shabbatons, day school retreats and one day educational programs. Allison is a graduate of both the first cohort of FJC’s Yitro Leadership Program, a professional development training program for assistant and associate camp directors, and  the third cohort of Lekhu Lakhem, a Jewish educational leadership fellowship designed for Jewish residential camp directors. Prior to joining the Shalom Institute, Allison spent a number of years travelling and living abroad, before studying social work at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada, while also working as children’s entertainer and animal educator, leading interactive and educational programs for kids featuring live animals.
