Deborah S. Harburger, MSW is a Clinical Instructor and Co-Director of the Maryland Center at The Institute for Innovation & Implementation at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. Deborah works with federal, state, and local agencies to support the design, development, and sustainable implementation of effective public behavioral health, child welfare, and youth homeless prevention services and supports. A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University Schreyer Honors College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Deborah received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. An alumna of Camp Ramah in New England, Deborah and her husband, Noah, are both alums of USY (Eastern Pennsylvania Region) and former counselors at Capital Camps. Deborah and Noah have two children, Jack (11) and Molly (8), who attend Baltimore City Public Schools and enjoy many weeks of specialty day camps at Baltimore's J Camps. In addition to being fans of J Camps, Jack and Molly are thrilled to be part of the Capital Camps Family! Jack is heading into his 3rd summer at Capital Camps and Molly is about to have her first summer as an official camper at Capital Camps after having been a staff kid for two years. This summer marks Deborah's third summer spending three weeks at Capital Camps as a Yoetzet (member of the camper care team) working with the 10th, 11th, and 12th graders and a member of the Leadership Team. Deborah also serves on the Board of Jewish Volunteer Connection Baltimore, is an Assistant Brownie Troop Leader, and is a member of the J Camps Camp Committee
