Helene Drobenare-Horwitz holds a Master of Social Work from Yeshiva University and Master of Administration in Organizational Change Management from the New School of Social Research. She is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Course (ELI) from the Foundation for Jewish Camps and The Institute for Jewish Executive Leadership at the Columbia Business School. Helene has been working in the field of informal education and Jewish camping for 30 years.

Originally from Brooklyn, NY Helene grew up in BBYO and went on to work in their leadership camp programs at Beber and Perlman Camps. She has also served as the coordinator for the March of the Living program, and the director of programs for Masada Israel Summer Programs. She lived in Israel for five years where she worked for TRACKS Adventures as Director of Youth Programs & Marketing.

Currently Helene is in her 19th year serving as the Executive Director of Young Judaea Sprout Camps, and the architect for the establishment Sprout Brooklyn and Sprout Westchester Day Camps. Helene currently resides in Potomac, Maryland with her husband and two children.
