Repair the World
Chief Operating Officer
Elizabeth (Liz) Fisher is the Chief Operating Officer at Repair the World, where she leads the organization’s growth, operations and external affairs. Prior to Repair the World, Liz was Managing Director at NEXT: A Division of Birthright Israel Foundation. Liz began her career in grassroots community development in rural Missouri. She moved into working in the Jewish community with roles at the Jewish Federation of St. Louis, UJA-Federation of New York, and The Jewish Education Project. Liz’s passion is people - colleagues, partners, lay leaders and volunteers; she loves hearing their stories and working with them to create change. Liz has a Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis with a focus in community development and management and is a Schusterman Family Foundation Senior Fellow. Liz lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two children. In her free time she loves canning, fermenting, baking, and spending time in her home state of New Hampshire.

Liz is the proud parent to two Young Judaea campers - a ten year old at Camp Sprout Lake and a 14 year old at Tel Yehudah. As someone who was never a camper herself, she finds herself jealous of their wonderful experiences and often threatens (to their horror) to work at camp one day.
